EUR La Cuisine des Auteurs is a theatrical and gourmet show in a caravan-theatre designed by Jérôme Pouly, member of the Comédie-Française, an invitation to discover the links between the great authors of French literature and our gastronomic heritage.
Alone on stage, Ripaille, a Rabelaisian character, distills with greed and humor texts by authors including Dumas, Colette, Baudelaire, Hugo, Balzac, Maupassant, Proust, Brillat-Savarin… Navigating between interpretation and improvisation, he establishes a real exchange with the spectators while cooking an appetizer for the public with local products freshly found on the markets.
Living the experience of La Cuisine des Auteurs is like tasting the sublime tomato with twelve flavors from Chef Alain Passard, our 5 senses are awakened… It is discovering in one bite different flavors that come to fill our palate little by little. petit… It’s biting into a mille-feuille of words that seem familiar to us… and without knowing it too much we taste a bit of Grimod de la Reynière when suddenly we feel in the back of the mouth the delicate prose of Baudelaire which comes to melt into a little verse from Hugo…
