Mercato: PSG holds Skriniar and Scamacca

In search of an additional central defender and a promising scorer, Paris Saint-Germain are not far from recovering Milan Skriniar (Inter) and Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo). A double operation which should cost the capital club nearly 110 million euros.

Scamacca and Skriniar are getting closer to PSG.

Luis Campos did not come to Paris Saint-Germain to twiddle his thumbs. While he hopes to conclude the arrival of Christophe Galtier from Nice, the new sports adviser of the club of the capital advances his pawns on the priority files of the transfer window. A week after the opening of March, the Portuguese would already be on the way to completing two nice shots.

Two transfers of nearly €110 million

Indeed, La Repubblica tells us this Friday that the champion of France is nearing the goal for Milan Skriniar (27 years old). Identify as the absolute priority in central defense, the Slovak, who is not against staying Inter, is ready to join Paris to take a step forward. The Italian media evokes a possible agreement with the Lombard formation for 70 million euros, including 10 million euros in bonuses.

Despite Kylian Mbappé’s extension, Paris hopes to recruit an additional scorer. Successful with Sassuolo, Gianluca Scamacca (23), courted by all the major Italian clubs, chosen by Campos to strengthen the attacking sector. Present in Rome, the Portuguese would have concluded an agreement for an estimated transfer of 40 million euros for the transalpine glove (1.95m, 16 goals in Serie A in 2021-2022).

Many departures expected

Two are coming which could push some players in the squad towards the exit. In the defensive sector, Thilo Kehrer, who has one year left on his contract, is open to a start in the hope of contesting the World Cup. Abdou Diallo, in lack of playing time, is also starting, while Presnel Kimpembe wonders about his future within his favorite club.

In attack, the future of Mauro Icardi should no longer go through Paris. In total failure, the Argentinian, back to the wall, will quickly have to find a way out so as not to fall into anonymity. PSG also hopes to recover a few million euros with the sale of Arnaud Kalimuendo, back from a two-year loan from Lens. A transfer window that starts strong for Paris.
