PURCHASING POWER, PRIORITY OF BRUNO LE MAIRE
During the handover at Bercy between Olivier Dussopt and Gabriel Attal, Bruno Le Maire, reappointed as Minister of Economy and Finance, announced his priorities. Among these: purchasing power and the fight against inflation.
The “priority” of the new government will be the “protection of the French against inflation”, close to 5% over one year in April, ensures the number 2 of the executive.
“As of tomorrow, we will therefore get down to work (…) preparing the bill on purchasing power. I will receive the economic players on Monday to study with them how they can also participate in the protection of the French against the price increase.”
The day before, when the composition of the government was announced, Bruno Le Maire had also sketched out the other hot issues of his mandate.
