Legislative 2022: Jean-Luc Mélenchon will “probably” not be a candidate

Long fantasized and often described as impossible, the union of the left became a reality on the night of Thursday to Friday when the National Council of the PS was adopted, after sometimes heated debates, at 62% the agreement with La rebellious France. This historic change of orientation consecrates a great winner: Jean-Luc Mélenchon who, with his 22% in the first round of the presidential election, succeeded in his takeover bid on the left by uniting under the same flag the PS but also the ecologists of EELV and the Communists, in view of the June legislative elections where he aims to be appointed “Prime Minister”.

The rebellious leader is organizing a family photo this Saturday on the occasion of an investiture convention of the “New popular ecological and social union” (Nupes) in Aubervilliers, near Paris.
