New tips How to get rid of malicious notifications on Google Chrome? Our guide
There’s nothing more annoying than malicious notifications that keep on going to trick you into buying a dodgy service. If even the most vigilant were able to accept receiving these kinds of notifications without paying attention to them, the option to remove them is not easy to find. We will explain everything to you.
If you use Google Chrome as your internet browser, you may have already received erroneous notifications. Sometimes hidden with believable icons, they often ask you to click to stop a virus or something else potentially dangerous and scary. If you fall into the trap, a window will quickly open asking you to pay for a service you don’t really need. If this kind of practice will not surprise the most accustomed to the Internet, the less vigilant could quite be fooled by this kind of scam. To avoid getting there, and even to relieve those who would be tired of closing all these chain notifications, we explain how to deactivate them once and for all.
You will not pass
If you regularly receive malicious notifications, or even if you will stop receiving normal notifications that do not interest you, it is time to leave in your internet browser settings. To do this, you just need to follow this procedure:
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the three small vertical dots at the top right of the window, then on Settings
- In the left menu, click Privacy and Securitythen on Site settings
- On the new page, click “Notice”
From there, you will need to identify all the sites that send you malicious and/or unwanted notifications. A rule that works every time to flush them out: if it looks suspicious, it sure is suspicious. In other words, don’t hesitate to delete anything you don’t know directly, or anything you don’t use. To do this, all you have to do is click on the three small vertical dots to the right of the sites in question, then click on “Delete”.
Normally, after blocking all these notifications, you should experience a quieter and less intrusive web browsing experience. No more precious seconds spent clicking on the cross to ignore annoying notifications, you have peace of mind.
