Handi chef, the first cooking competition in Nice » PACA’s economic and political newsletter

The Well-Being, Occupational Health and Social Dialogue Department & the Disability and Job Retention Service of the City of Nice have designed a “Handi Chef” Nice cooking competition which will take place on Wednesday June 22 in the heart of the Cours Saleya market. .

This competition is dedicated to agents with disabilities from the City of Nice, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the Communal Center for Social Action or state authorities (Acropolis, ports, etc.).

8 agents with disabilities will be assisted by a valid pair to share, between 9am and 11am, qualifying tests in the form of questionnaires, product recognition by taste and then by touch. At 11 a.m., the candidates will compete in the final culinary test: make a Niçoise recipe using traditional ingredients and then, with the same ingredients, offer a totally revisited version The candidates will also be assisted by specialists in Nice cuisine and will prepare their two dishes in front of a jury (composed of directors, division managers and local chefs) who will designate the future “Handi Chef 2022”.
