Google warned against Hermit spyware, by an Italian company that works for government services

The spyware manages to download the malicious application without going through the Android application stores (Google Play Store), if the user agrees to install an APK (application installation file) from an unknown source, and Apple (App Store), by exploiting a flaw in the certification of applications.

Google announced that it had updated its Google Play service to block spyware from communicating with remote servers and warned infected Android users. For its part, Apple told TechCrunch that it has revoked all known accounts and certificates associated with this spyware.
