Authorized “many casualties” plan

Immediately, the plan known as Novi (many victims), intended to rescue a large number of victims in the same place and to organize first aid, was stopped. 40 firefighters, volunteers and professionals, from numerous barracks in Côtes-d’Armor were mobilized. As well as three doctors, including one, dispatched to the scene by the Smur helicopter.

Transferred to several hospitals

Once the peloton was on the ground, some cyclists got back on their bikes and followed the race. But 11 young people were injured and taken care of by the emergency services, including two “in absolute emergency”.
