Doubs. Worrying disappearance of ex-firefighter Denis Braye, in conflict with the departmental rescue service

Aerial reconnaissance

His family contacted the Doubs gendarmerie. The military immediately took the alert seriously. Patrols went to Mamirolle and Trépot, towns where he could be found. At the end of the afternoon, the gendarmes received a report: the 55-year-old man would have parked his vehicle near the Doubs jump. A helicopter from the air section of Colmar carried out reconnaissance on the spot. In vain. The Swiss police have also been asked to carry out investigations at the border.

He rode in two cars

According to a testimony, Denis Braye would have been stopped by a red vehicle, in the Montbenoît sector. He would then have climbed into another vehicle in the Bugny sector.

Denis Braye is 1m90 tall, he has gray hair and blue eyes. “This person is also likely to be driving in his gray Citroën Berlingot type vehicle registered 9500 GS 90,” the gendarmes said in a press release.

Drivers and witnesses who crossed his path are invited to contact the gendarmerie on 0800 00 48 49.
