Apple releases macOS 12.4 revision for M2 Macs

Apple today offers a new version of macOS 12.4 for download, which only concerns Mac M2. Apple has announced two, namely the MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The new macOS 12.4 build for Macs with the M2 chip is 21F2092. In comparison, the other Macs had build 21F79 on May 16th. It is currently difficult to say exactly what the changes are between the two versions. We can suspect that these are elements specific to new Macs, but Apple does not provide a list of changes. It must in any case be a minor revision since we remain on macOS 12.4 and we are not going to macOS 12.4.1 or 12.5 (which is currently in beta).

As a reminder, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip will be available tomorrow for pre-order. The first deliveries will take place on June 24. People who buy this portable Mac can therefore expect an update to be installed from day one. Regarding the MacBook Air M2, it will be available in July, but Apple does not yet communicate a precise release date. It will also be necessary to expect an update to be installed from day one.
